Possible Causes

HEPA or fine dust filter completely clogged, Incorrect filter type installed, Damaged filter seal causing bypass, Faulty differential pressure sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery and wear a dust mask when handling fine dust filters.

  • 1. Check filter type: Verify that you are using the correct Festool HEPA or fine dust filter specified for your cordless vacuum model.
  • 2. Replace clogged filter: Remove the fine dust filter and inspect it against light. If it appears heavily loaded or blocked, replace it with a new Festool filter.
  • 3. Inspect filter seals: Ensure the rubber or foam seals around the filter frame are intact and seated properly in the housing. Replace the filter if seals are damaged.
  • 4. Clean sensor ports: If accessible, gently clean the small pressure sensor ports or tubes leading to the filter area using compressed air. Do not insert sharp objects.
  • 5. Sensor or board replacement: If E17 persists with a new, correct filter and clean ports, the differential pressure sensor or its circuit on the control board may be defective and should be replaced by Festool service.
