Possible Causes
Worn relay contacts on control board, Loose relay or component, High inrush current stressing components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the housing.
- 1. Identify source: Open the housing and carefully listen (with battery briefly installed) to locate the source of the clicking. Do not touch live components.
- 2. Inspect control board: Look for loose relays or components on the control PCB. Gently press them to ensure they are seated.
- 3. Check for arcing signs: Burn marks near relay contacts indicate wear. The control board should be replaced.
- 4. Service if necessary: Occasional soft clicks can be normal, but loud or erratic clicking accompanied by malfunction requires control board replacement by Festool service.
