Festool
Reduced Runtime / Battery Capacity Loss
Vacuum runs for only a few minutes on a full charge before shutting off, no error code displayed

Possible Causes
Aged Festool lithium-ion battery with reduced capacity, Battery not fully charged due to faulty charger, High load from clogged filters, Internal battery cell imbalance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting filters or internal parts.
- 1. Verify full charge: Charge the battery until the Festool charger indicates full. Confirm that all battery LEDs illuminate when tested.
- 2. Test with another battery: Use a different Festool battery of the same system. If runtime improves significantly, the original battery is worn and should be replaced.
- 3. Reduce load: Replace the filter bag and clean or replace the main filter to reduce motor load, which can extend runtime.
- 4. Check charger: If multiple batteries show short runtime, test them on another Festool tool. If they perform normally there, the vacuum may be drawing excessive current due to motor or control issues and should be serviced.
