Vacuum shuts off intermittently when moved or bumped, then restarts when tapped or when battery is reseated

Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the housing.

• 1. Check battery fit: Insert the battery and gently wiggle it. If the vacuum cuts out or the battery feels loose, the locking mechanism or contacts may be worn.
• 2. Inspect contacts: Remove the battery and inspect the vacuum's battery terminals for wear or deformation. Clean with a dry cloth.
• 3. Open housing and inspect solder joints: Look at the battery interface board for cracked or dull solder joints where the terminals attach. Flexing can cause intermittent connections.
• 4. Reseat connectors: Check all internal wiring connectors between the battery interface, switch, and control board. Reseat them firmly.
• 5. Replace worn parts: Replace the battery interface board or housing components if the locking mechanism or terminals are damaged.
