Festool
Overcurrent / Overload Protection Without Display Code
Vacuum starts but immediately shuts off when hose is blocked by hand, no error code
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Protection circuit set very sensitive, Severely clogged filters increasing load, Weak battery unable to supply peak current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before servicing filters.
- 1. Service filters: Replace the filter bag and clean or replace the main filter to reduce load.
- 2. Avoid full blockage tests: Do not completely block the hose inlet for extended periods; this can trigger overload protection.
- 3. Use a fully charged battery: Ensure the Festool battery is fully charged and in good condition. Try a different battery if available.
- 4. If behavior persists: If the vacuum shuts off under normal use, not just full blockage, have the motor and control electronics checked by Festool service.
