Possible Causes

Battery pack temperature too high, Blocked cooling vents around battery housing, Internal battery cell imbalance, Faulty battery management PCB in pack

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Switch OFF the vacuum and remove the battery pack from the handle or main body.

Cool down:

  • Allow the battery to cool at room temperature for at least 30–60 minutes away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
  • Do not place the battery in a fridge or freezer; rapid temperature changes can damage cells.

Inspect vents and contacts:

  • Check the cooling slots around the battery compartment on the Gorenje cordless vacuum. Remove dust with a soft brush or compressed air.
  • Inspect the battery contacts and the mating contacts on the vacuum for corrosion or burnt marks. Wipe gently with a dry cloth.

Test again: Reinstall the cooled battery and try running the vacuum on low power first. If it runs normally, the error was likely thermal protection.

If E3 recurs quickly: The battery pack may be failing internally or drawing excessive current due to a motor fault. Stop using the vacuum and contact service for battery pack testing or replacement.
