Possible Causes

Blocked filters causing high load, Cooling vents around motor blocked, Motor bearings worn and dragging, Continuous use on turbo mode beyond duty cycle

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery. Allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes.

Restore airflow and cooling:

  • Remove and clean all filters (pre-motor and HEPA) as per the Gorenje manual. Ensure they are completely dry before refitting.
  • Check the air intake and exhaust vents around the motor housing for lint or dust buildup. Clean with a soft brush.
  • Inspect the dust container and cyclone for blockages and clean thoroughly.

Usage pattern:

  • Avoid running the vacuum continuously on maximum power for long periods. Use normal mode for regular cleaning and turbo only when needed.

If E5 continues to appear quickly even with clean filters and vents, the motor may be failing (worn bearings or shorted windings). In that case, the motor assembly should be replaced by a qualified technician.
