Safety: Remove the battery.

• Clean latch area: Remove dust and debris from the latch and hinge using a brush.
• Inspect for damage: Look for cracks or broken plastic on the bin latch and the body catch.
• Test engagement: Refit the bin and ensure it clicks firmly. If it does not, the latch components are likely worn or broken.
• Resolution: Replace the dust bin or main body latch component as supplied by Groupe SEB.
