Possible Causes
Clogged floor nozzle, Blocked wand or air path, Severely clogged pre-motor filter, Failing main suction motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch the vacuum off and remove the battery pack before any inspection. Never work on the unit while it is powered.
- Check for blockages: Remove the floor nozzle, wand, and dust bin. Look through the wand and air channels of the motor unit for clogs (hair, dust bunnies, small objects). Clear all debris.
- Clean the pre-motor filter: Open the dust container and remove the pre-motor filter (usually a foam or fabric filter behind the dust cup). Tap it gently over a trash can, then rinse with lukewarm water if the manual allows. Let it dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Inspect the brush roll: Remove the brush bar from the motorized floor head. Cut away hair and threads from the ends and bristles. Make sure the brush spins freely on its bearings.
- Test again: Reassemble the vacuum, reinstall the fully charged battery, and run it on low power first. If E1 returns immediately with clear airways and clean filters, the main suction motor may be drawing too much current and should be tested or replaced by a qualified technician.
