Possible Causes
Failed Hall effect sensor in brush head, Damaged brush motor PCB, Broken wire in floor head cable, Corroded connector between wand and floor head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery. Detach the floor head and wand.
- Inspect connectors: Check the electrical contacts at the end of the wand and on the floor head. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Check cable continuity (advanced): If you have a multimeter and experience, test continuity of the wiring from the wand to the head. Replace the wand if the internal cable is open.
- Visual check of PCB: Open the floor head (if accessible) and inspect the small PCB near the motor for burn marks or corrosion.
- Test with another head: If available, connect a different compatible motorized head. If it works, the original head's sensor or PCB is faulty.
- Resolution: Replace the motorized floor head assembly or its internal PCB/Hall sensor module as supplied by Groupe SEB.
