Possible Causes
Battery pack overheated from long use, Deeply discharged battery cells, Faulty battery temperature sensor, Aging lithium-ion cells
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If the battery feels hot, place it on a non-flammable surface away from direct sunlight and allow it to cool completely.
- Cooling period: Let the battery rest for at least 30–60 minutes, then try charging it again on the original Groupe SEB charger.
- Check charger and environment: Charge in a cool, dry place. Avoid covering the charger or battery while charging.
- Observe LED behavior: If the charger immediately shows an error or the battery remains unresponsive, the pack may be below safe voltage or the sensor may be faulty.
- Do not open the battery: Lithium-ion packs can be dangerous if tampered with. Do not puncture, crush, or disassemble.
- Resolution: Replace the battery pack with an original Groupe SEB replacement if it no longer accepts charge or repeatedly triggers E9.
