Battery drains very quickly (only a few minutes of runtime) even on low power.

Safety first: Use only genuine Gtech batteries and chargers. Do not attempt to open the battery pack.

Steps to try:

• Fully charge: Charge the battery until the indicator shows full. Then run the vacuum continuously and time the runtime.
• Compare to spec: Check the expected runtime in the Gtech manual. If actual runtime is significantly lower, the battery has lost capacity.
• Reduce load: Ensure filters are clean and the brush bar is free to spin, to avoid unnecessary current draw.
• Replace battery: If runtime remains poor, replace the battery pack with a new genuine Gtech unit.
