Possible Causes
Loose electrical connector between main body and floor head, Broken wiring in neck of floor head, Failed brush motor, Faulty brush control PCB in floor head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and detach the floor head before inspection.
Steps to try:
- Check connection: Inspect the electrical contacts at the neck of the floor head and on the extension tube/handle. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Wiggle test: Reattach the head and gently move the neck while pulling the trigger (with battery fitted). If the brush starts/stops intermittently, the internal wiring is likely damaged.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks or kinks in the neck area where the cable runs.
- Replace assembly: The brush motor and wiring are usually integrated into the floor head. Replace the complete motorised floor head if the motor never runs despite good contacts.
