Possible Causes
Battery voltage out of safe range, Battery pack internal fault, Incorrect battery type for charger, Overtemperature condition at start of charge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the charger from the mains if a fault indication persists. Do not attempt to force charging.
Steps to try:
- Allow cooling: If the battery is warm from recent use, let it cool for 30–60 minutes before attempting to charge again.
- Check compatibility: Ensure the charger model matches your Gtech vacuum series and battery type.
- Try another charger or battery: If possible, test the battery on another compatible charger, or test the charger with another battery to isolate the fault.
- Replace faulty component: Replace the battery if multiple chargers show a fault. Replace the charger if multiple batteries trigger the same red flashing LED only on that charger.
