• Inspect end caps: Check the plastic end caps for cracks or excessive play. Replace the brush bar if damaged.
• Check gearbox: Gently rotate the drive mechanism by hand (if accessible). Grinding or skipping indicates internal gear damage.
• Replace floor head: If noise persists after cleaning and the gearbox is noisy, replace the complete motorised floor head assembly.
