Cordless vacuum will not charge when placed on wall mount or charging dock

Safety first: Unplug the dock or wall mount charger from the outlet before inspection.

• Check alignment: Place the vacuum carefully on the dock, ensuring the charging contacts align and the unit is fully seated.
• Inspect contacts: Clean the dock and vacuum contacts with a dry cloth. Look for bent or recessed pins.
• Verify power: Confirm the dock’s power adapter is plugged into a working outlet and that any indicator lights on the dock are on.
• Bypass dock: If your Hamilton Beach model allows direct battery charging, remove the battery and charge it directly with the charger. If this works, the dock is faulty and should be replaced.
