Dust escapes from the dust cup area when the vacuum is bumped or tilted.

Safety first: Remove the battery and empty the dust cup.

• Inspect latch: Check that the dust cup latch closes securely and does not open with light pressure.
• Examine rim and gasket: Look for cracks or warping on the dust cup rim and damage to the rubber gasket.
• Reinstall carefully: Close the dust cup firmly until you hear a click. Test by gently shaking the vacuum (battery removed) to ensure it stays closed.

If the latch or cup is damaged, replace the dust cup assembly.
