Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum, remove the battery, and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before further inspection.
- Clean dust cup and cyclone: Empty the dust cup completely. Remove the cyclone assembly and tap it gently to dislodge fine dust. Use a soft brush to clean the cyclone fins.
- Service filters: Remove the pre‑motor filter and HEPA exhaust filter (if accessible). Tap off dust. If the manual permits, rinse under lukewarm water and allow to dry fully (minimum 24 hours) before reinstalling. Never run the vacuum with wet filters.
- Check vents: Inspect all air vents on the main body for lint or dust buildup and clean with a dry brush or compressed air (short bursts, from a distance).
- Use appropriate power mode: Avoid using turbo/high mode continuously on thick carpets. Alternate between modes to reduce heat buildup.
If E4 appears quickly even with clean filters and clear airflow, the motor’s thermal sensor or the motor itself may be defective and should be evaluated by a service center.
