Possible Causes
Clogged cyclone assembly, Blocked pre‑motor filter, Dust‑saturated HEPA exhaust filter, Obstruction in extension pipe or nozzle throat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery pack before cleaning.
- Empty and clean dust cup: Remove and empty the dust cup. Wipe the inside with a dry cloth to remove fine dust.
- Clean cyclone unit: Detach the cyclone assembly. Tap it gently to dislodge dust from the mesh and internal cones. Use a soft brush to clean the mesh screen.
- Service filters: Remove the pre‑motor and HEPA filters. Tap off dust. If the manual allows, rinse under lukewarm water and let them dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling. Do not use detergents unless specified by Hitachi.
- Check pipes and nozzle: Look through the extension pipe and nozzle inlet for blockages. Remove any debris using a flexible, non‑sharp tool.
After reassembly, run the vacuum. If E7 persists with clean filters and clear airflow, the airflow sensor or pressure sensor on the main PCB may be faulty and require service.
