Safety first: Ensure proper ventilation during charging.

  • Perform full cycle: Fully charge the battery until the charger indicates completion. Then run the vacuum continuously in normal mode until it stops. Recharge fully again. This can sometimes recalibrate the gauge.
  • Observe runtime: If runtime is still acceptable despite inaccurate indication, the issue is cosmetic but may worsen as the battery ages.

If runtime is also short or the indicator behaves erratically, replace the battery pack.
