Safety first: Ensure the charger and outlets are in good condition.

• Check battery charge: Insert the battery into the charger and confirm that the charger indicates charging. If there is no indication, test another outlet or charger if available.
• Try another battery: If a second battery powers the vacuum, the original battery is defective.
• Inspect trigger/power button: On models with a trigger, ensure it moves freely and is not jammed by debris. For push‑button models, press firmly and hold for a few seconds.
• Check main power switch: Some Hitachi models have a separate main power slider. Ensure it is in the ON position.
