Possible Causes
Faulty mode selector button, Stuck or contaminated switch contacts, Firmware limiting power due to battery condition, Damaged control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning buttons.
- Check button operation: Press the mode button repeatedly. It should have a clear click and return. If sticky, wipe around it with a slightly damp cloth (battery removed) and dry.
- Battery test: Fully charge the battery and attempt to change modes immediately after charging. Weak batteries may cause the unit to restrict to low mode.
- Reset attempt: Remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinstall and test again.
If the mode button physically works but the vacuum never changes power, the control PCB or button contacts may be faulty and require service.
