Charging dock or wall mount does not charge the vacuum when docked

Safety first: Unplug the dock from the mains before inspection.

Steps to restore dock charging:

• 1. Verify power adapter: Check that the Hoover Candy power adapter LED is on when plugged in. Test the adapter directly on the battery (if your model allows) to confirm it works.
• 2. Inspect dock contacts: Look at the metal contacts on the dock and on the vacuum body. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
• 3. Check mounting: Ensure the dock is securely mounted and the vacuum sits fully in place so that contacts align.
• 4. Bypass dock (if possible): If your model allows direct charging of the battery or handheld unit, try that. If direct charging works, the dock is faulty and should be replaced.
