Possible Causes

Fully discharged or failed battery pack, Faulty main power switch or trigger, Open-circuit internal wiring harness, Blown surface-mount fuse on control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not attempt to open the battery pack. Disconnect the battery before opening the vacuum housing.

Steps to diagnose no-power condition:

  • 1. Verify battery charge: Place the battery on the Hoover Candy charger and confirm that the charger LED indicates charging. If there is no LED, test with another outlet or charger.
  • 2. Try a second battery: If available, test the vacuum with another compatible Hoover Candy battery. If it powers on, replace the original battery.
  • 3. Inspect trigger action: Check that the trigger moves freely and returns when released. A broken trigger mechanism can prevent the internal switch from closing.
  • 4. Visual inspection (advanced users): If comfortable and the warranty has expired, remove the outer shell following a service guide. Look for disconnected wires, burnt components, or a blown PCB fuse. Do not attempt component-level soldering unless qualified.

If the unit remains completely dead with a known-good battery, the main control PCB or internal wiring must be replaced by a professional technician.
