Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before cleaning or disassembling.
Steps to narrow down the cause:
- 1. Clean filters and airflow: Ensure all filters are clean and the airflow path is clear to reduce load on the motor.
- 2. Test with fully charged battery: Charge the battery to 100% and immediately test high-power mode. Weak batteries often cause high-mode shutdowns.
- 3. Try a second battery (if available): If a different Hoover Candy battery allows high-power operation, the original battery is failing.
- 4. Listen for motor noise: If the motor sounds rough, whines, or smells hot when attempting high power, the motor windings or bearings may be failing.
Repair recommendation: Persistent E10 behavior with good airflow and a known-good battery usually indicates a failing motor or motor driver circuit. Replacement of the main motor assembly and/or control PCB should be performed by a service technician.
