Possible Causes

Damaged electrical contacts in wand, Broken wiring in wand harness, Faulty accessory recognition circuit on main PCB, Short in motorized floor head

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery pack before connecting or disconnecting powered accessories.

Steps to diagnose accessory error:

  • 1. Inspect wand contacts: Look at both ends of the extension wand for bent, recessed, or corroded electrical pins. Straighten gently if slightly bent; replace the wand if pins are badly damaged.
  • 2. Check floor head contacts: Inspect the mating contacts on the motorized floor nozzle. Clean with a dry cloth.
  • 3. Test with another accessory: If you have another powered accessory (e.g., mini turbo brush), attach it and test. If it works, the floor head is likely faulty. If none of the powered tools work, the wand or main unit is suspect.
  • 4. Wiggle test: With the battery refitted and the vacuum running, gently move the wand connection points. If the accessory cuts in and out, the internal wand wiring harness may be broken.

Repair options: Replace the extension wand if the internal harness is open-circuit. If a known-good wand and head still trigger E9, the main PCB accessory power circuit is likely damaged and requires professional replacement.
