Possible Causes
Filters saturated with fine dust, Dust and hair trapped in cyclone, Use without regular filter maintenance, Moist debris causing mildew in bin
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and empty the bin.
Steps:
- Deep clean bin and cyclone: Empty the bin and wipe it with a slightly damp cloth. If removable and washable, wash the bin and cyclone with mild detergent, then dry completely.
- Clean or replace filters: Tap out dust from filters and wash if allowed. If filters are stained, smelly, or deformed, replace them with genuine Hoover filters.
- Dry thoroughly: Ensure all washed parts are completely dry (24 hours) before reassembly to prevent mildew.
Regularly cleaning filters and bin (every 1–3 months depending on use) will prevent recurring odors.
