Cordless vacuum wall-mount dock does not charge the vacuum, but direct charging works

Safety first: Unplug the dock from mains before inspection.

Steps:

• Check installation: Ensure the dock is mounted level and the vacuum sits fully engaged with the contacts.
• Inspect contacts: Clean the metal contacts on both dock and vacuum with a dry cloth. Check for bent or recessed contacts.
• Bypass test: Plug the charger directly into the vacuum or battery. If this works, the dock is at fault.

If the dock remains non-functional after cleaning and correct mounting, replace the wall dock assembly.
