Possible Causes
Battery voltage too low (over-discharge), Battery temperature out of range, Internal battery fault, Non-genuine or incompatible charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only the original Hoover charger. Unplug from mains before connecting or disconnecting the battery.
Steps:
- Allow battery to warm/cool: If the battery is very cold or hot, let it reach room temperature for at least 1 hour, then retry charging.
- Check charger model: Confirm the charger model matches your Hoover vacuum and battery specifications.
- Inspect battery: Look for physical damage or swelling. If present, do not attempt to charge; replace the battery.
If the charger continues to flash error with a physically intact battery at room temperature, the battery BMS has likely locked out; replace the battery pack.
