F7
Hoover
Battery Capacity Below Threshold
Cordless vacuum shows F7 and runs only for a few seconds before shutting off

Possible Causes
Aged battery with reduced capacity, Battery not fully charged, Internal cell damage, Battery BMS limiting discharge
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspection.
Steps:
- Fully charge: Place the battery on the original Hoover charger until the indicator shows full. Then leave it an extra 30 minutes.
- Run-time test: Time how long the vacuum runs on normal mode from full charge. If it stops within a few minutes and F7 appears, the battery is worn out.
- Try another battery: If available, test with a second Hoover battery. Normal operation with the second pack confirms the original battery is faulty.
Resolution: Replace the battery pack with a genuine Hoover lithium-ion battery. Do not continue using a pack that repeatedly triggers F7; it may fail completely.
