Possible Causes

Hair or string wrapped around brushroll, Blocked brush bearings, Jammed brush motor gearbox, Faulty brush motor current sensor on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery or unplug from charger. Never work on the brush while it is powered.

  • Remove the brush head: Detach the motorized floor nozzle from the wand or handheld body.
  • Clear the brushroll: Open the brush guard (usually a latch or coin‑slot screws). Remove the brushroll and cut away hair, threads, and debris with scissors, avoiding the bristles.
  • Check end caps and bearings: Spin the brushroll by hand. If it feels rough or seized at the ends, clean the end caps and remove any wrapped fibers. Lightly wipe with a dry cloth.
  • Inspect the brush motor cavity: Look inside the nozzle for debris around the drive gear or belt (if used). Remove any obstructions.
  • Reassemble and test: Reinstall the brushroll and guard, ensuring it is seated correctly. Reattach the nozzle, then power on and test on a hard floor first.
  • Replace brush motor or nozzle: If Err 3 returns immediately and the brush does not move, the brush motor or entire motorized nozzle assembly may be faulty and require replacement.
