Possible Causes
Worn brush bristles, Debris blocking brush housing, Damaged brushroll end bearings, Warped brush bar
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove the battery before working on the brush head.
- Remove brushroll: Detach the motorized nozzle and open the brush guard. Take out the brushroll.
- Inspect bristles: Compare bristle length to the edges or to a new brush if available. If bristles are flattened or very short, they will not agitate carpet effectively.
- Clean housing: Remove any packed lint or hair from the nozzle cavity and suction channel.
- Check bearings: Spin the brushroll by hand. If it wobbles or feels rough, the end bearings may be worn.
- Replace brushroll: Install a new genuine iRobot brushroll designed for your cordless nozzle. Ensure it is seated correctly and the guard is fully latched.
