Possible Causes
Weak or aged battery pack, High resistance at battery contacts, Internal battery cell imbalance, Overly high power mode on worn battery
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum and remove it from the charger before handling the battery.
- Fully charge: Charge the vacuum until the indicator shows a full charge. Then test runtime on the lowest power setting.
- Clean contacts: Remove the battery and clean the contacts on both the pack and vacuum with a dry cloth.
- Test different modes: If the vacuum runs longer on low power but shuts off quickly on high, the battery may no longer support high current draw.
- Replace battery: Install a new genuine iRobot lithium‑ion battery pack if shutdown continues after a full charge and contact cleaning.
