Possible Causes
Clogged main suction path in floorhead, Blocked metal extension tube, Full dust cup and clogged cyclone assembly, Severely clogged pre-motor HEPA filter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack before clearing blockages.
- Step 1 – Empty dust cup: Remove the Jimmy dust container and empty it completely. Tap the cyclone gently to dislodge packed dust.
- Step 2 – Check cyclone and inlet: Look into the cyclone assembly and the inlet port where dirt enters. Remove any hair clumps or debris using a soft brush.
- Step 3 – Inspect extension tube: Detach the aluminum or plastic extension tube. Look through it toward a light source. Push out any blockage with a flexible rod or broom handle, taking care not to crack the tube.
- Step 4 – Clean filters: Remove the pre-motor sponge filter and HEPA cartridge (usually located behind the dust cup). Tap gently to remove dust. If washable, rinse with cold water only and allow to dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
- Step 5 – Check floorhead: Remove the motorized brush head. Inspect the suction channel and side airways for blockages. Clear hair and fibers.
- Step 6 – Test again: Reassemble and run the vacuum. If E2 still appears with clean airflow, the main motor assembly or control PCB may be drawing excessive current and should be replaced by a technician.
