Possible Causes
Failed main control PCB in handheld body, Loose wiring harness between trigger switch and PCB, Damaged hall sensor or feedback line from motor, Liquid ingress on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before opening any covers. Do not operate the vacuum if there are signs of liquid damage.
- Step 1 – Visual inspection: Check the exterior of the Jimmy handheld body for cracks or signs of liquid entry. If the unit was exposed to water, do not attempt to power it on further.
- Step 2 – Check trigger action: Squeeze the trigger or power button repeatedly. If it feels stuck or does not click, the switch may be jammed or broken.
- Step 3 – Reseat connectors (advanced users): If you are comfortable with small appliance repair, remove the screws on the handheld body shell, carefully separate the halves, and inspect the wiring harness connectors to the main PCB and motor. Reseat any loose plugs. Do not touch high-current battery terminals with metal tools.
- Step 4 – Look for corrosion: If you see green/white corrosion or burn marks on the PCB, the board is likely damaged.
- Step 5 – Replace PCB: For persistent E6 with no obvious wiring issue, replace the Jimmy main control PCB or the entire handheld body assembly. This repair is best performed by an authorized service center.
