Possible Causes
Blocked cyclone air channels, Dust sensor or airflow sensor contaminated, Misfitted dust cup causing air leak, Damaged cyclone assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before disassembling the dust container.
- Step 1 – Remove and empty dust cup: Detach the Jimmy dust container and empty all debris. Tap the cyclone gently to loosen fine dust.
- Step 2 – Clean cyclone thoroughly: Use a soft brush to clean the cyclone cones and mesh. Ensure all small holes are clear.
- Step 3 – Check seals and gaskets: Inspect the rubber gasket between the dust cup and the handheld body. Make sure it is not twisted, torn, or missing. Reseat the dust cup firmly until it clicks.
- Step 4 – Clean sensor area: Some Jimmy models have a dust/airflow sensor near the cyclone outlet. Gently blow out dust with compressed air or a hand blower. Do not poke the sensor with tools.
- Step 5 – Test operation: Reinstall the battery and test. If E7 persists and suction remains unstable, the airflow sensor or main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
