Possible Causes
Mis-calibrated tilt sensor, Loose sensor module on PCB, Damaged sensor from impact, Firmware glitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before opening the unit.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Remove the battery for 5 minutes, then reinstall and test. Sometimes this clears sensor calibration errors.
- Step 2 – Avoid extreme angles: Test the vacuum in normal cleaning positions. If it only fails at extreme angles, continue using within normal range while arranging service.
- Step 3 – Internal inspection (advanced): Open the body and locate the tilt/orientation sensor on the PCB. Ensure it is firmly soldered and not physically loose.
- Step 4 – Replace PCB: If F8 persists, replace the main control PCB which includes the sensor.
