Possible Causes
Worn trigger microswitch, Loose trigger linkage, Cracked trigger lever, Faulty latch circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the trigger mechanism.
- Step 1 – Check trigger feel: Squeeze the trigger repeatedly. If it feels spongy, sticks, or does not click, the switch or lever may be worn.
- Step 2 – Clean around trigger: Use a dry brush or compressed air to remove dust from around the trigger area.
- Step 3 – Internal inspection (advanced): Open the handle shell and inspect the trigger lever and microswitch. Ensure the lever fully depresses the switch.
- Step 4 – Replace parts: Replace the trigger microswitch or trigger lever assembly if worn or broken. If the hardware is fine but F9 persists, the power latch circuit on the PCB may be defective and the board should be replaced.
