Possible Causes
Completely discharged or failed battery pack, Faulty Jimmy charger, Broken main power switch or trigger, Open circuit on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Inspect the charger and battery for damage before use.
- Step 1 – Check charger: Plug the Jimmy charger into a known-good outlet. Confirm the charger LED turns on.
- Step 2 – Charge battery: Place the vacuum on the dock or connect the charger directly. Allow at least 3 hours. If no LEDs light on the vacuum or battery, suspect a bad charger or battery.
- Step 3 – Test with another battery/charger: If available, try a known-good Jimmy battery or charger to isolate the faulty component.
- Step 4 – Inspect trigger: If the battery is known good, but the unit is dead, the trigger switch or internal wiring may be open. This requires opening the handle and testing continuity with a multimeter.
- Step 5 – Replace failed part: Replace the Jimmy charger, lithium battery pack, or main control PCB as identified. If you are not experienced with electrical testing, contact a technician.
