Possible Causes
Dirty HEPA or foam filters, Dust container not cleaned regularly, Moist debris left inside container, Bacteria or mold growth on filters
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning. Avoid inhaling dust.
- Empty and wash container: Remove the dust container and wash it with mild soap and warm water if Kärcher allows. Dry completely.
- Clean or replace filters: Wash washable filters and let them dry for at least 24 hours. Replace non‑washable HEPA filters if they smell or appear discolored.
- Avoid vacuuming wet material: Kärcher cordless dry vacuums are not designed for wet debris unless specifically stated. Do not vacuum damp dirt or liquids.
- Regular maintenance: Clean the container and filters at least monthly in heavy use to prevent odors.
