Kärcher Airflow Restriction / Filter Saturation

Cordless vacuum runs but has very weak suction even with a fully charged battery

Possible Causes

Clogged cyclone separator in dust container, Saturated HEPA or fine dust filter, Blocked wand or hose, Air leak at dust container seal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning or disassembling.

  • Empty and clean dust container: Remove the container, empty it, and rinse if Kärcher allows. Pay special attention to the cyclone cone and mesh; remove caked dust with a soft brush.
  • Clean or replace filters: Remove pre‑filter and HEPA/cartridge filter. Tap off dust outdoors. If washable, rinse and dry thoroughly. Replace if visibly damaged or still restricted.
  • Check wand and accessories: Detach the wand and look through it toward a light source. Remove any visible clogs using a non‑sharp rod.
  • Inspect seals: Check the rubber gasket between dust container and main body. If torn or deformed, replace the seal or container to restore suction.
