Kärcher
Battery Capacity Loss / Calibration Issue
Cordless vacuum’s LED battery indicator shows full, but runtime is very short
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Aged Li‑Ion cells with reduced capacity, Battery indicator not recalibrated, Frequent shallow charges, High‑load use on turbo mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only original Kärcher batteries.
- Recalibrate (if supported): Fully charge the battery, then run the vacuum continuously on normal mode until it shuts off. Fully recharge again. This can improve indicator accuracy on some models.
- Compare to spec: Measure actual runtime and compare to Kärcher’s stated runtime for your model and mode.
- Replace battery if needed: If runtime is significantly below spec after calibration, the battery pack has likely lost capacity and should be replaced.
