Possible Causes

Blocked suction path in floor nozzle, Clogged main filter cartridge, Jammed brush roller in Kärcher floor head, Failing suction motor drawing excessive current

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch OFF and remove the battery before inspecting the nozzle or brush.

  • Check for blockages: Detach the floor nozzle, wand, and accessories. Look through each section for clogs (hair, paper, debris). Remove obstructions manually or with a straight, non‑sharp tool.
  • Clean the brush roller: Open the brush access cover on the Kärcher floor head. Remove hair, threads, and wrapped fibers from the roller and end caps. Ensure the roller spins freely by hand.
  • Clean filters: Remove the dust container and take out the main filter (HEPA or cartridge) and pre‑filter. Tap gently to remove dust or wash if Kärcher specifies it is washable. Allow to dry completely before refitting.
  • Test without nozzle: Run the vacuum with only the main body and no accessories. If E2 no longer appears, the issue is in the nozzle or wand. If E2 still appears, the motor or control PCB may be failing.
  • Persistent E2: If the vacuum cuts out quickly even with clean filters and no attachments, the suction motor or current-sensing circuit on the main PCB is likely defective. Professional diagnosis is recommended.
