Possible Causes
Damaged wiring harness between main body and floor nozzle, Corroded multi‑pin connector at nozzle joint, Faulty accessory recognition circuit on main PCB, Liquid ingress into handle or nozzle electronics
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and do not operate the unit if there are signs of liquid inside.
- Inspect accessory connection: Detach the wand and powered nozzle. Check the electrical contacts or multi‑pin connectors for bent pins, corrosion, or dirt. Clean gently with a dry brush.
- Test main body alone: Run the vacuum with only the main body (no wand/nozzle). If E9 does not appear, the fault is likely in the wand or nozzle wiring.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of water or cleaning solution inside the nozzle or handle. Allow to dry in a warm, dry place for at least 24 hours before retesting. Do not use heat guns or ovens.
- Inspect cable (if visible): On models with an external flex cable to the nozzle, check for cuts or kinks. Replace the wand or nozzle assembly if the cable is damaged.
- Persistent E9: If E9 appears even with no accessories attached, the main PCB communication circuit is likely defective and requires replacement.
