How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the floor head.

  • Remove brushroll: Open the floor head cover and take out the brushroll. Cut away all hair and debris from the bristles and end caps.
  • Check rotation: Spin the brushroll by hand. If it is stiff or seized, replace the brushroll assembly.
  • Inspect drive system: If your Levoit model uses a belt or gear, check for a broken or slipped belt/gear. Replace if damaged.
  • Test motor: With the brushroll removed and battery installed, briefly power on and check if the drive spindle turns. If not, the brushroll motor or floor head PCB is faulty.
  • Replace floor head if needed: If the motor does not run, replace the motorized floor head.
