Possible Causes
Main brushroll jammed with hair or debris, Blocked air path in floor head or wand, Failing main DC motor drawing excessive current, Shorted wiring in motor housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF and remove the battery pack before clearing any jams.
- Inspect the brushroll: Remove the floor head from the wand. Open the brushroll cover (usually a latch or coin‑slot screws). Pull out the brushroll and cut away hair, threads, and debris from the bristles and end caps. Ensure the brushroll spins freely by hand.
- Check for blockages: Look through the floor head air channel, wand, and main body inlet. Remove any clogs using a long, non‑sharp tool. Do not use metal objects that can damage plastic.
- Clean filters: Remove the pre‑motor filter and HEPA filter (if accessible). Tap gently to remove dust and wash per Levoit instructions (usually cold water only, no detergents). Allow filters to dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the brushroll, close the cover securely, reattach the wand and floor head, then reinstall the battery. Run the vacuum on low power first and check if E2 reappears.
- If E2 returns with no visible blockage: The main DC motor or internal wiring may be failing and drawing too much current. Do not continue to run the unit; contact a technician or Levoit support for motor housing or main body replacement.
