Possible Causes
Faulty Levoit charging adapter, Dirty or corroded charging contacts on base or battery, Damaged charging dock PCB, Failed BMS in battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall before cleaning contacts. Do not use metal tools on live contacts.
- Verify power outlet: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
- Inspect charger and cable: Check the Levoit power adapter for damage, frayed cable, or bent plug. If damaged, stop using it and replace with an original Levoit charger of the same rating.
- Clean charging contacts: On the charging base and on the battery/vacuum, gently clean the metal contacts with a dry cloth or cotton swab with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol. Let dry fully.
- Reseat on dock: Place the vacuum or battery on the dock ensuring it is fully seated and aligned. Look for charging indicator lights on the vacuum or dock.
- Test with another charger (if available): If you have a second compatible Levoit charger, try it. If E5 clears, the original charger is faulty.
- If E5 persists: The battery BMS or dock PCB may be defective. Do not attempt to bypass safety circuits. Contact Levoit or a technician for battery pack or charging base replacement.
