E8
Levoit
Battery Undervoltage / Deep Discharge Protection
Vacuum shows E8 and shuts off immediately when trigger or power button is pressed
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Battery charge extremely low, Aged battery cells with high internal resistance, Faulty BMS voltage sensing, Using non‑original or incompatible battery pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use only the original Levoit charger and battery pack. Do not attempt to open the battery pack.
- Charge fully: Place the vacuum or battery on the charger and allow it to charge uninterrupted for at least 3–4 hours, or until the indicator shows full.
- Check charging indicators: Confirm that charging lights on the vacuum or dock behave normally (blinking then solid). If no lights appear, the charger or battery may be faulty.
- Warm to room temperature: If the vacuum or battery was stored in a very cold environment, bring it indoors and let it reach room temperature for 1–2 hours, then attempt charging again.
- Test runtime: After a full charge, run the vacuum on low power. If it shuts off quickly and shows E8 again, the battery cells are likely degraded.
- Replace battery: If E8 persists after proper charging, replace the Levoit battery pack with a genuine unit. Do not use third‑party packs that may not communicate correctly with the BMS.
