Vacuum makes loud clicking or knocking noises from the floor head while rolling

Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the floor head.

• Open floor head: Remove the brushroll cover and take out the brushroll.
• Inspect housing: Look for small stones, hard plastic pieces, or other debris inside the floor head shell. Remove them.
• Check brushroll: Examine the brushroll for cracks, missing sections, or flattened bristles. Replace if damaged.
• Inspect end caps: Ensure end caps are intact and seated properly. Replace the brushroll if end caps are loose or broken.
• Reassemble and test: Reinstall the brushroll and cover, then test. If noise persists, the floor head gearbox may be damaged and the entire head should be replaced.
