Advertisements
Possible Causes
Dirty pre‑motor filter, Damp HEPA filter growing mildew, Dust cup not cleaned regularly, Suction of liquids or wet debris
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning. Do not vacuum liquids with a dry cordless vacuum.
- Empty and wash dust cup: Remove the dust cup and wash it with mild soap and water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
- Clean or replace filters: Wash washable filters with cold water only and let them dry for at least 24 hours. Replace HEPA filters if they smell musty or are not washable.
- Air out the vacuum: Leave the dust cup and filter compartment open (battery removed) in a dry, ventilated area for several hours.
- Avoid wet debris: Do not vacuum wet materials. If liquids were vacuumed, internal components may be contaminated and require professional cleaning or replacement.
